Ada Lovelace was born in 1815.  She studied maths and science and showed a passion for machines and how they worked from a young age.  Ada is credited with publishing the first computer program.  She could see the potential of Babbage’s calculating machine, explaining how it could be used to create art and music with the right programming.  Much of her work went unrecognised for a century.

It would be fascinating to know what Ada Lovelace would think of today's computers and their potential.
